The USS MIDWAY (Air Dept.) V-1 Dawgs (as we were know...in the day) Are planning a reunion soon. Please email me if you or anyone you know was a V-1 Dawg. Most of us are from the 1979-1983 Era, but all V-1 Dawgs are welcome.....Any ABH or Air Dept. Flight Deck (AB's) Ape are welcome. V-3 Hanger Deck Pukes (oops did I say that out loud?), V-2 Cat's & Gears, and even V-1 Grapes.

For those who dont know us? We were the guys with the "Flying Shit Hooks" Painted on the Island structure. While you other guys got to visit the flight deck! It belonged to us!! We ate, slept and breathed Non-Skid

Thanks for the memories and the experience of serving our country.

There are four of us from the 1961 - 1965 era whom will be walking the decks of the Midway, once again, on Wednesday, July 7th. We were all friends and just located each other back in October after 40 years of silence. It should be a fun event.
The participants are Thurman (Sam) Scarlette from North Carolina , B.J. Thornton from Arkansas, Kenneth Crow from Oregon, and myself, James Hall from Texas.
